The two days exercise sponsored by the Ghana German Centre, the German Cooperation among others benefited some 700 individuals who either renewed their expired cards or are first time registrants.
Yet again, the collaboration between the Assemblyman and the Hobem Clinic provided opportunity to the people to access free health screening at the centre.

Some of the health conditions they were screened on include blood pressure, blood sugar, malaria, hepatitis B among few others.
The people’s appreciation was expressed through the share numbers that availed themselves for the exercise.

Nuhu Mohammed, the Assemblyman for the area explaining the reason for the exercise said for some time, he had to step in to ensure people access health care in the area.

However, the situation was becoming one too many, as the number of people calling on him to help them with their health situation was growing and he realized it was time to find a more practical solution which is to ensure the people are registered on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), a policy that will ensures they can visit any health facility and be attended to free of charge.

Other Developmental Interventions
Over the period, the Assembly made some significant strides in the area bringing to bear his lobbying skills which saw the establishment of the first public basic school in the area, as well as a footbridge that connects the community to Pokuase.
Some residents that spoke to Ghanadistricts.com were full of praise to the Assemblyman for his good human relations and the progress he brought to the area.

They stated that, until the establishment of the school, students were travelling to Pokuase and other nearby communities to access education. Also it took residents the stress of walking very long distances just to connect to Pokuase because of the lack of bridge over the big drain that separates the two communities.

Upcoming District Level Elections
Mr Nuhu who is vying for another term is confident of retaining his seat to continue with his good works including ensuring the establishment of a senior high school in the area.
He said it remains an unfinished business that he is determined to accomplish, alongside ensuring the extension of pipe borne water to the area.

Mr. Nuhu Mohammed thus, appealed to the electorates to give him another chance to serve them to help fulfill the aforementioned projects that are dear to the people.
