DCE briefed the press on government achievements

The District Chief Executive of the Asene – Manso – Akroso of the Eastern Region Mr. Alex Inkoom has outlined a number of projects the Nana Addo led administration has achieved under his leadership since he assumed office.

Mr. Inkoom said it is not for nothing that the NPP administration implores the electorates to vote them into power, but for their welfare and economic sustainability as has been manifested in his District.

He noted that since his assumption into office, the residents have benefited immensely not only from physical infrastructure but from other interventions as well.



Mr. Inkoom who was addressing the ‘Meet the Press’ programme also said funds from the one million dollars per constituency programme has also been accessed and injected into a number of projects across the constituency.

On Planting for Export and Rural Development programme, 36,000 palm oil seedlings have been raised but are yet to be shared among farmers to grow as a source of raw material for the establishment of a palm oil factory in the district.

Education has also recorded some gains including the construction of 2-unit kindergarten block at Aprokumasi, Adukrom, Tabita, Mofram, Osenho and Badukrom, while institutional toilet facilities with boreholes have been provided at Akroso Abase, Akroso Amanfrom and Onomabo.



Procurement of 200 mono, 200 dual and 50pcs KG table with 300 chairs for selected Basic schools.

Other infrastructure projects include construction of two-story block for the Asene – Manso – Akroso District Assembly, construction of Asene Health Centre and also construction of male and female wards at Akroso Health Center. There are also a lot of projects which are ongoing suck as the construction of durbar ground at Atiakama Nkwanta

The DCE said road contractors will assiduously start constructional works on a number of stretches and would complete the projects in the due time.
