Catholic Relief Services serves Tantala community
Catholic Relief Services (CRS), an International Humanitarian Agency has commissioned and handed over facilities under the CRS Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program at Tantala, a community in the Mamprugu Moagduri District of the North East Region.

The project funded by Helmsley Charitable Trust, through the ICOWASH 2.0 project, will serve about 5,225 people from Tantala and surrounding communities.
It will again improve Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) as well as ensure safe and dignified deliveries in the community which include; the construction of two limited mechanized water systems, 27 boreholes with hand pumps, 41 institutional latrines, 11 bathrooms, and 9 medical incinerators, as well as social and behaviour change communication activities in communities, schools, and healthcare facilities throughout the district.
On behalf of the Chiefs and the people of the area, the Member of Parliament of Yagaba Kubori, Mr. Ussif Mustapha thanked the Catholic Relief Services, which has over the past few years, invested approximately $1.4 million in providing facilities to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene in the Mamprugu Moagduri District.
In attendance were the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sean Callahan, Country Director of CRS, Mr. Daniel Danjuma, West Africa Regional Director, Mad. Jennifer Overton, DCE of Mamprugu Moagduri, Abu Adams, the District Health and Education Directors, Tantala Chief, Tuuvu Chief and Dabozeisi among others.
