National Best Farmer Visits WGMA
The 2020 National Best Farmer, Mr. Solomon Kwadwo Kusi, has paid a working visit to the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA).

Mr. Kusi was accompanied to the Municipal Assembly by Mr. Kwabena Tenkorang, a farmer and philanthropist.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, welcomed them to his office.
The National Best Farmer was at the Municipal Assembly to interact with the Agricultural Department of the Assembly on possible ways of cooperation and enhancement of both crop and animal farming in the municipality.
Present at the meeting were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs. Mercy Quansah Ogoe, the Municipal Director of Agriculture, Madam Antoinette Nyakpenu and some Agricultural Extension Officers.
Discussions centred on the land scarcity due to the developments, farming close to the banks of the Densu river, financial assistance to the farmers and new ways/methods of farming to provide food security.
The issue of setting up an agro-processing factory in the municipality was also put out.
The meeting agreed to have further discussions on the way forward to make Weija-Gbawe an agricultural hub in the Greater Accra Region.
