In a poster posted on his Facebook page seeking reelection is said to ask the people of Fanteakwa North to grant him four more terms, "#My People Give Me 4 More Term" which has raised a heated argument on social media as scores of Facebook pundits from the Fanteakwa North District calls for clarification if he is asking for 16 more years to serve his constituent or a mere grammatical error.

Others are also questioning why the MP chose to campaign to the extent of posting his posters on social media platforms to seek for votes as he the Member of Parliament ceased to campaign following the disqualification of his contenders Mr. Sakyimah Yakubu Moro and Mr. Freeman Ofori Agyarko.

It is gathered that Mr. Sakyimah Yakubu Moro who is well-known in the Constituency was allegedly disqualified on the basis of his refusal to accept responsibility to serve the party as a party patron in the Constituency, whilst Mr. Freeman Ofori Agyarko was also disqualified because he is not able to provide a certificate as he claims on the nomination that he is waiting for his certificate as captured on his CV respectfully by the Eastern Regional Vetting Committee.

Even though both disqualified candidates are waiting for the verdict of the Appeal Committee of the party, Mr. Amankwa Asiamah is seen as an unopposed NPP parliamentary candidate awaiting the 2020 general elections.

This has attracted a lot of questions as most people are asking if Hon. Amankwa Asiamah who has been nicknamed Fanteakwa Mugabe by a section of the Constituent is still begging for 16 more years in Parliament after his 3rd term (12 years) in Parliament without anything to show in the Constituency.
