NSAWAM A: Over 2,000 residents displaced by floods
Flood waters from River Densu and other tributaries in the Eastern Region have displaced over 2,000 residents of Nsawam with the Zongo community being the worst affected.

Other affected areas include Gyankrom, Lanteh, Adoagyiri, Okobeyeyie, Owireku, and the lorry station among others was also badly affected.
The rains, which started on Saturday through to Sunday, caused the River Densu to overflow its banks, forcing residents in the area to abandon their houses, livestock, and other properties.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who was in Accra at the time of the incident quickly rushed to the scene to solidarize with the victims.
Speaking to the media, Mr Annoh Dompreh, noted that his outfit together with officials from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) were working assiduously to ensure that the affected victims are duly supported.
He seized the opportunity to call on philanthropists and other organizations to support the victims to help improve their standard of living.
