Instead, he called on them to ensure that they voted for the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, and the various NPP Parliamentary Candidates too.

That, he added, would make governance easier for the next NPP administration to bring the development of the country to the next level.

“There shouldn’t be any skirt and blouse vote in this time because that would not augur well for our next government”,

Mr. Bediako advised when he addressed supporters of the NPP in Techiman in the Bono East Region, at the launch of the Techiman South Constituency campaign of the NPP.

Mr. Bediako recollected that President Nana Akufo-Addo won the 2020 presidential elections in the Jaman South Constituency about 14,000 vote differences and regretted however that National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the parliamentary seat with 1,900 vote differences.

That was an indication that the electors voted for the President Akufo-Addo and voted against the Parliamentary Candidate, he said.

Mr. Bediako said Election 2024 remained crucial to the NPP because the party could not afford to lose it, and therefore implored the disgruntled supporters and members of the party to forgive each other and bury their differences too.

“That would enable us to ensure a formidable front for effective campaigns and win the General Election,” he stated.

Mr. Adjei-Mensah Korsah, the MP for Techiman South and the Minister of Local Government and Decentralisation, urged the party supporters and members to propagate the numerous achievements of the government to the masses.
