DCE urges extension officers to visit farmers regularly

The District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya North in Ashanti Region, Rebecca Yeboah has called on Agric Extension Officers of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) to increase their visits to farmers in order to increase agriculture production in the country.

According to her, most farmers are faced with numerous challenges which needed the attention of extension officers to overcome them.

She mentioned lack of education, training, and value addition to farm produces as some of challenges of farmers she identified this during her working visit to about 20 farms in the District on Thursday July 11, and Friday July 12, 2019 in her exclusive interview with the Daily Searchlight Reporter.



Madam Rebecca Yeboah was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, the Presiding Member, Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, District Director of MoFA, Mr Maxwell Adu - Poku, District Information Officer, Mr Thomas Awuah Asem and staff of MoFA during her two-day tour of farms in about eight selected farming communities in her jurisdiction.
