According to him, poor sanitation poses a threat to undermine the health of the people; hence much attention is needed to combat it.
Mr. Daniel Kenneth made these remarks during a ceremony to sponsor 13 young residents of Okere District to the School of Hygiene at Ho in the Volta Region.
The move according to the DCE was to train sanitation officers who would help consolidate the gains made so far by the Okere District Assembly in its quest to improve sanitation in the area.
He disclosed that the 13 beneficiaries after their two-year training will undergo an industrial attachment exercise with some prominent sanitation management institutions in the country in a bid to improve on their skills.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke were full of praise to the Member of Parliament for Okere, Mr Dan Botwe and the DCE Daniel Kenneth for the hundred percent tuition fee packages and promised to positively impact improving sanitation in the district after their training.
