The MP said ensuring the safety and security of residents must remain a priority, particularly as communities continue to expand and face emerging security challenges.

Hon. Poku-Adusei urged the Municipal Assembly to work closely with the Ghana Police Service, traditional authorities, community leaders and other relevant stakeholders to identify security gaps and develop practical measures to address them.

He emphasized the need for improved security infrastructure, adequate lighting and stronger collaboration between residents and security agencies to prevent crime and protect lives and property.

The MP noted that the installation of streetlights in Amoaful and other communities forms part of efforts to improve visibility and enhance security, particularly at night.

He further encouraged residents to support security agencies by reporting suspicious activities and cooperating with authorities in maintaining peace and order within their communities.

Hon. Poku-Adusei stressed that security is essential to local development, as residents can only fully participate in economic and social activities when they feel safe in their communities.

He therefore appealed to the Bekwai Municipal Assembly to prioritise security-related interventions and work with stakeholders to create a safer environment for residents across the constituency.
