MCE hands over 6-unit classroom block to Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery School

The Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson has handed over keys to a 6- unit classroom block to the Vice Principal of the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery school Madam Aisha Sena- Iddrisu at a short ceremony at the premises of the school yesterday.

The keys were handed over to her by the consultant of the project Mr. Michael Coffie of P.P.M.C

The block was funded by GETFund at a cost of GHS430,016.95. The contract was awarded to Messrs Salia Razak Agency in 2016 and was expected to be completed on 27th. June 2017.

However it was completed on 5th. December 2018 and was handed over by the contractor to the Assembly and the MCE who in turn handed it over to the school.



The project is to enable the school have enough classrooms to enable it introduce a new course they have in mind.

MCE appealed to the authorities to maintain the block and to use it to enhance teaching and learning in the school.

Madam Aisha Sena-Iddrisu on behalf of the school expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the MCE and the Assembly. She promised that they will put the facility to good use and maintain it. The students could not hide their joy for the project as their leader praise the MCE.
