Tema Mantse Nii Adjei Kraku goes home

The Mayor of Tema, Mr. Yohane Amarh Ashitey has led a high powered delegation from the Tema Traditional Council to the Jubilee House (The Presidency), to formally invite The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to the final funeral rites for the Late Chief of Tema, Nii Adjei Kraku who passed away in 2020.

The final rites and burial of the late Osonnaa Nii Adjei Kraku II, will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Nii Kraku II Sports Complex. The activities will be climaxed on Sunday, October 30, 2022 with an interdenominational thanksgiving service.

At the very brief but solemn meeting, the President, Nana Akufo-Addo recounted fond memories of the Late paramount chief, urged the elders to ensure that they organize a befitting burial for Nii Kraku, whom he described as "his personal friend".

The Tema Metropolitan Security Council (MESEC) has put in adequate security measures to ensure personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department for a free flow of traffic in Tema Newtown and its environs.

The delegation from the Tema Traditional Council included Nii Adjetey Agbo, acting president of the TTC, Nii Amarh Somponu, Shipi, Nii Akwashontse, Nii Adigon Mantse, and Mr. Samuel Evans Ashong Narh, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East amongst others.
