Nkwanta South donates 1000 desks to GES

The Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly has generously donated 1000 dual desks to the Nkwanta South Ghana Education Directorate. These desks will be distributed to schools within the municipality, further enhancing the educational environment. This donation comes in addition to the 500 desks that were previously presented by the assembly earlier this year.

During the official handover, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Bright Lenwah, expressed their optimism that the provision of desks would contribute to the delivery of quality education to young students.

The MCE emphasized that education serves as the foundation for the municipality's development and assured the assembly's ongoing support to the education directorate by providing necessary resources and logistics.

Upon receiving the desks, the municipal education director, Mr. Jonathan Kwasinah, expressed his gratitude to the assembly for their thoughtful gesture. He acknowledged that this donation would greatly help in addressing the current deficit of approximately 10,000 desks faced by the education directorate.

Mr. Kwasinah also expressed his commitment to ensuring the proper maintenance of the furniture and extended his thanks to the assembly for creating 3000 additional sitting spaces for school children through this donation. He appealed to other kind-hearted individuals and institutions to provide further support in enhancing the standard of education within the municipality.
