The DCE said this, when she took time out of her busy schedules to tour to some health facilities across the district. Some health centers visited include, Brodi, Seikwa, Debibi and Brohani health facilities.
Her visit, according to information gathered, aimed at getting firsthand information about the happenings at various health centers with regards to infrastructure and personnel and the best way to help address these challenges.
The DCE’s first port of call was at the Badu Saint Anthony Health Center, where she was taken round the facility. A Medical Superintendent in charge of the center appealed for a National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) accreditation for the facility.
He said this was to guarantee bearers of the NHIS card access to free and quality healthcare at the facility.
The DCE further continued to the Seikwa health centre where she had fruitful discussion with personnel of the facility. She promised to ensure the supply of quality water to the facility to help enhance their work.
She concluded her tour with a visit to Debibi and Brohani, where health hinted at the Assembly’s plans to put up adequate nurses quarters to ease accommodation challenges.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, Lawyer Dwommoh said “the NPP government is a listening government so we will ensure that all the concerns raised are addressed on time to help enhance their work and save more lives”.
She revealed that the assembly has also begun work on other health facilities in some selected communities to help bring quality healthcare to the doorsteps of the people.
