The Exhibition Hall is a great value addition to the Kakum National Park which is to interpret the complexities, which underline tropical rainforest diversities, the interdependencies among species, and the numerous biological connections, which make the rainforest a “Web of Life”.
The GHs 300,000 project is the first phase of a refurbishment project at the facility commenced in 2018.
Other partners in the rehabilitation were the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Wildlife Division under the Forestry Commission (FC).
Addressing the gathering, the Central Regional Minister Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan said she was elated about the extent of renovation works done to meet the current modern trends in tourism.
‘’It is my hope that this new edifice will help visitors to learn and gain more knowledge about Kakum National Park and other activities that go on there”, she added.
She noted the Region is blessed with numerous tourism potentials which are untapped, adding that “that is my desire to engage relevant stakeholders and investors to harness the full potential of our tourism sector to create jobs and boost the region’s economy”.
