Pru West District Assembly Hands Over 560 Classroom Furniture to Boost Education
District Chief Executive urges fair distribution and proper maintenance for long-term benefits

The Pru West District Assembly has officially handed over 560 pieces of classroom furniture to the District Education Directorate in a ceremony aimed at improving educational infrastructure across the district.
The furniture, which includes 400 dual desks, 100 single desks, and 60 crèche desks, was presented on July 16, 2026, to the Pru West District Education Directorate led by Mr. Felix Nteege Faatah for distribution to selected nursery and primary schools.
Commitment to Quality Education
The handover ceremony formed part of the Assembly's ongoing commitment to creating a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
District Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Agyapong, explained that the furniture would help address the critical shortage of classroom desks in schools and enhance pupil comfort during classroom instruction.

The DCE urged the District Education Directorate to ensure the desks are distributed fairly and maintained properly to maximize their long-term benefits.
Collaborative Effort

The Member of Parliament for Pru West, Hon. Emmanuel Ntekunu, reiterated his commitment to collaborating with the District Assembly to improve educational facilities and promote quality basic education throughout the district.
Education Directorate's Assurance
Receiving the desks on behalf of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Felix Nteege Faatah, District Director of Education, expressed appreciation to the Assembly, the DCE, and the MP for their continued support.
He assured the Assembly that all 560 pieces of furniture would be distributed to beneficiary schools and used for their intended purpose.

Mr. Sulemana Ali, Coordinating Director and Secretary of the Pru West District Assembly, noted that the handover demonstrates the continued commitment of the Assembly and its partners to improving educational infrastructure and enhancing teaching and learning across the district.
