He urged them to desist from saving money to buy Christmas clothes for their children, but rather channel the money in their education.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the presentation, Mr Blay said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise he made to the school when he embarked on a tour of selected schools in the District to ascertain the infrastructural situation and how best the assembly could help.

The DCE encouraged the pupils to take their lessons seriously to be useful citizens to themselves and society as a whole.
Mr Joseph Ackaah Dominic, headteacher of the school who received the uniforms on behalf of the pupils commended the DCE for the kind gesture as the uniforms would help boost the confidence level of the pupils and motivate them to attend classes regularly.
He pointed out that the school had never received such school uniforms since it was established in 1984 and asked the DCE to do more for schools in the rural communities.

The headteacher also asked parents to complement the efforts of the government to help improve on the standard of education in the area.
Some of the pupils who spoke to the GNA, thanked the DCE and stressed that it would motivate them to be in class and promised to study hard.
