Krachi Nchumuru District Assembly supports PWDs

As part of measures to better the living conditions of the Person with Disabilities (PWD), the Krachi Nchumuru District Assembly headed by Mr. Augustine Appiah has distributed some items to the PWDs in the District.

Mr. Appiah delivering his speech at the ceremony stated that items such as corn milling machines, sewing machines, industrial sewing machine, hair dryers, mobile money accessories, hair rollers, box iron, set of hair combs, board rulers, tape measures among others were procured for distribution whiles fifteen PWDs were supported by the Assembly through the District Assembly common fund some few months ago.

The DCE said, to enable them go about their normal duties with ease and acquire the needed skills and earn income, the Assembly also made available some assistive device such as wheel chairs, clutches, walkers adding that various sums of money were given who want to go into provision trading, vegetables, animals rearing, Bee keeping and other economic ventures.

Mr. Norbert Senyo Ocloo, the District Social welfare and community development officer also encouraged the PWD not to lose hope but have confidence in whatever they desire of becoming in life.
