Government has presented brand new motor- bikes to about fifty-five assembly members in the Atwima Nwanbiagya District in the Ashanti Region.

The move is to enable them pay regular visit to their electorate to ascertain their grievences and communicate them to the assembly for redress.

Speaking at the ceremony, the District Chief Executive Nana Asare Bediako said that the presentation was part of measures strenghten local governance, adding that the implemntation was also in fulfillment the ruling party’s “Better Ghana” agenda.

He however cautioned members to use the bikes for its intended purposes and refrain from any attempts to sell them.

In a shape responds, the Presiding Member (PM), Bernard Anthony expressed gratitude to government for the gesture and promised to ensure their proper maintenance.
