Vanart Abdela Islamic Primary school at New Town, an electoral area within the Awutu Senya District of the Central Region have benefited from a 6-unit classroom block.

The project is currently near completion to improve the standard of education in the area.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Assemblyman for the area, Mr. Alenga Jacob disclosed that this was the second time the school has benefited from a project of such kind.

According to him, the school benefited from a similar 6-unit classroom block project under the previous Kuffour administration, adding that this project was also designed to meet the increasing demand of infrastructure due to the rise in enrolment level.

He considered the increase in enrolment level as a result of it being the only public school in the area.

“This project deem it necessary by government to ease overcrowding in the school since it is the only public school we have in the community”

Mr. Alenga hailed the government for the timely intervention and charged it to do more in order to promote quality education in the area.
