ASUNAFOA SOUTH : District moves to curb unemployment rate
The Asunafo South District , National Youth Employment in the Brong Ahafo Region has engaged majority of the youth in the area under the four modules of the programme to curb the rate of unemployment in the district.

The Asunafo South District , National Youth Employment in the Brong Ahafo Region has engaged majority of the youth in the area under the four modules of the programme to curb the rate of unemployment in the district.
According to the District Coordinator of the Programme, Mr Prince Nyarko out of the 633 employed, 90 of them work under the sanitation module, 70 under the Community Health Assistants module and 162 teaching assistants.
The youth in trade and vocation module has also engaged 203 people in hairdressing, dress making, carpentary, batik and tye and dye making which is being sponsored by Sinapi Aba Trust.
Mr Nyarko indicated that the youth in Agriculture module which has engaged 108 people in vegetable and cereal production has been halted due to ongoing audit.
The Coordinator advised residents in the are to also invest in different aspects of farming such as animal farming.
