The National Youth Employment Coordinator for Tano North in the Brong-Ahafo region, Mr Kofi Ankyera has announced that the scheme is planning to recruit new personnel to assist the teachers in the District.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, he also noted that a 100 acre farm land had been given to the programme by the Omanhene of Dua-Yaw Nkwanta which is yet to be released to the youth for farming.

According to him, the district has six modules under the programme and has so far employed 165 youth from the area.

Ninty-five people have been engaged in the sanitation module, youth in tree planting, six(6), socail welfare, six(6), Ghana Library Board, seven (7) Controller and Accountant district office, one(1) and Health care assistants 56,


Mr Ankyera noted  that although the personnel were effectively working, they were no vehicles to conduct monitoring exercises, adding that, they also lacked office logistics to enhance the effective running of the programme.
