The Member of Parliament for Aowin in the Western Region, Hon. Mathias Kwame Ntow has donated assorted items worth GHC10,000 to the people of Boinso, a cocoa farming community in the constituency.
The items, which were purchased with the share of his MP Common Fund, include 60 bags of rice, 50 cartons of Frytol cooking oil, 100 farming boots and 50 bales of second hand clothes.
Hon. Ntow pledged his commitment working hard to ensure that the constituency benefited from its share of the national cake, and urged the constituents to support him in that direction.
He urged all to contribute their part in ensuring that all unmotorable roads linking cocoa-growing towns in the constituency were put in proper shape to facilitate the transportation of food items to and from the market centres.
The chief of Boniso, Nana Kojo Mone, who received the items on behalf of the people expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture and called on him to assist the community in the provision of basic infrastructure, potable drinking water.
He expressed concern about the poor state of roads linking the cocoa-growing areas in the constituency and appealed to the MP to lobby the government to address it.
