The Chief of Sefwi Debieso in the Western Region, Nana Afful Kwao II, has urged citizens of the area particularly parents to invest in their children’s education.

This he noted would prepare the children adequately for their future endeavours to enable them to contribute towards national development.

Speaking at the launch of Biaman Educational Fund, he said "as parents, our first aim in life is to invest in our children’s education".

Nana Afful advised students of the area to take their studies seriously in order to achieve their aim.

He however, advised them to do away with immoral behaviours that could hinder their education as well as jeopardise their future.

Nana Afful donated GHC2,000 to the fund.

The magistraite of the Debieso Circuit Court, Mr Joseph Twumasi, appealed to the people of Bia District to contribute to the education fund in order to lay a solid foundation for the children.

"Let us all contribute our quota towards the fund because investing in education, will be the only solution to ignorance and poverty in our society," he said.
