The call was made at a town hall meeting in Wulensi attended by about 45 participants, including women groups, civil society organisations, persons with disabilities, traders and public institutions.

Nanumba South NCCE Director, George Konlan, said corruption remained a major obstacle to Ghana's development, affecting job creation, incomes and efforts to reduce poverty.

District Director of Education, Matilda Ayombil, encouraged women to demand transparency, pursue economic empowerment and take up leadership roles to strengthen their participation in governance.

Participants also highlighted barriers limiting women's access to education and empowerment opportunities and called for stronger support to improve their participation in community development.

The organisers urged participants to reject and report corrupt practices while promoting integrity and accountability in their communities.
