(SALAGA) EAST GONJA : Police gets office complex
An office complex and a bungalow built at a cost of GH¢170, 000 by the East Gonja District Assembly for Salaga Police has been inaugurated.

An office complex and a bungalow built at a cost of GH¢170, 000 by the East Gonja District Assembly for Salaga Police has been inaugurated.
The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mustapha Ali Idris, performing the ceremony, urged chiefs and opinion leaders in the area to cooperate with the police to maintain law and order.
Crime, he noted, has now become a sophisticated and complex, and therefore requires collaboration between the community and the police to fight.
"The maintenance of security, peace, law and order in our growing complex society, must be a joint undertaking of the government, assemblies, communities and the people at large" he said.
He advised the people not to see the police as enemies but as friends and collaborators in the maintenance of law and order.
He admonished the police not take things for granted but to endeavour to reciprocate the gesture of the community by conducting themslves professionally.
He commended the assembly for providing the bungalows for the comfort of the police and appealed to all aasemblies in the region to emulate it.
The Northern Regional Police Commander, COP Ephraim Brakatu, was also grateful to the assembly for the gesture.
