The facility constructed by the district assembly through its share of the district assembly common fund is one of such health facilities the assembly is building in deprived communities across the district.

The Atwereboanda chps center which has been commissioned and in use is expected to provide primary health delivery and serve as the first point of call for providing first aid services for severe health cases before referrals to major hospitals.

The chps centre concept is also one of the strategic means government has adopted to help reduce neonatal and maternal deaths. The facility would therefore be very useful in providing maternal healthcare for people in Atwereboanda and surrounding communities, thus reducing their distance of travel in accessing such services.
