EKUMFI: Essuehyia police post completed, handed over for use

The Ekumfi District Assembly in the Central Region, has constructed a new police post at Essuehyia in a bid to curb the rate of crime in the area.


The new police post, which is expected to serve the people of Essuehyia and its surrounding vicinities has been handed over to the Ghana Police Service for use.

confirming this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, District Chief Executive for the area, Mr. I. K. Dawson said the new police post is expected to help reduce crime rate and improve law enforcement in the area.

He said the government was doing its best to provide the needs of the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies but however, insisted that financial constraints had forced these efforts from seeing the day light.

He said the assembly is still working around the clock to ensure that communities with poor police accommodation will receive facelift to improve police such conditions.  He assured police in the area of the assembly’s support to improve their work.
