Gefia Assembly Member cuts sod for new KG block

The Assembly member for Gefia electoral area in the Akatsi South Municipality Mr. Jerry Agbo together with Torgbui Katsekpor IV, Dufia of Ayitikorpe has cut the sod for the construction of kindergarten block and a borehole at Gefia.

The project which would be completed in two months is being constructed by a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Times Africa real estate and funded by VALCO TRUST FUND.

According to the Assembly member, the project when completed will benefit Gefia, Ayitikorpe, Kpoyega and the surrounding communities and also solve the infrastructure deficits confronting the educational sector in the area.

Mr. Agbo said he was moved to lobby for the project in order to help put an end to the situation whereby school pupils under trees.

“Most Communities are without Kindergarten and Children are learning under Trees. As an Assembly member of the area this situation motivated me to write a proposal to the organization to support the three communities with kindergarten facility” He said.
