Nkwanta S: Govt expands LEAP to cover more households
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nkwanta South, Mr. John Thasun has hinted that the implementation of the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP) program represents government of Ghana’s vision of creating an all-inclusive society through the provision of sustainable mechanisms for the protection of persons living in situations of extreme poverty, vulnerability and exclusion.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, he said, 792 households are benefiting from the social intervention programme adding that 2,504 and 107 households have qualified from expansion Phase 2B and targeting survey 8 respectively, bringing the total number of beneficiary households to 3403 in 67 communities in the Nkwanta South District.
Mr. Thasun explained that qualified households from phase 2B and targeting survey 8 will be enrolled unto e-zwich platform to pave the way for them to start enjoying the grant.
