WA M: GWC approves 7km water distribution network
The Ghana Water Company (GWC) has approved the extension of a seven (7)-kilometer water distribution network to the Wa municipality to enhance the distribution of clean and safe potable water under controlled pressure from water treatment facilities to various homes.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Tahiru Issahaku , who disclosed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com further disclosed that, the assembly, is also constructing eight boreholes at Yidile, Charing, Kagu, Kaboli, Jediarayiri and Zingu communities to improve water supply in the rural communities.
He again indicated that, Water Aid, a United Nations (UN) for International Drinking water and Sanitation, is also expected to provide eleven earmarked communities with eleven (11) boreholes to augment the existing ones.
He said, plans were far advanced and work is set to commence on the projects to help improve perennial water shortage in the area.
Mr Issahaku also hinted at various action plans by the assembly to ensure that potable water is made available in every home for drinking and other household chores.
