DCE commissions new school blocks
Residents of St. Francis of Asisi Catholic School, AgonaFie and Ahuntumano in the Ahanta West District can now breathe a sigh of relief as District Chief Executive of the area, John Agyare commissioned and handed over newly constructed classroom blocks in the communities to enhance teaching and learning.

Addressing the separate gatherings, the DCE urged beneficiary school authorities to develop the habit of good maintenance culture to help keep the projects in the best of their shapes for longer periods.
He also charged the District Education Directorate to supervise the use of the classroom blocks for it to last long to ensure their intended purposes.
He lauded President Akufo Addo for his intervention towards the development of the Ahanta West while also describing the projects as a conscious effort to help reduce illiteracy rate and also enhance effective teaching and learning.
He added that “education they say is the key to success and we hope this will motivate the pupil to learn hard and become good future leaders who would contribute their quota to develop Ahanta West and Ghana at large.”
Gracing the ceremonies were Nana Eziaku IV (Chief of AgonaFie), Nana Ahwia Allia VI (Chief of Ahuntumano), the Municipal Coordinator Dir. Mr Daniel Kanyage, Mr. Frank Gyapong (Municipal Engineer), Mr. Buadi Aloysius (Dep't Dir., Supervision and Monitoring-GES), Georgina Akyeampong (PRO, GES), Daniel Payne (Basic Schools Coordinator-GES) NPP Constituency Chairman Nketsiah Kwofie and other NPP executives.
The rest are Stephen Kirchoffs Arthur (Assembly Member for Ahuntumano), Raymond Peter Kwofie (Assembly Member for AgonaFie), Mr. Sampson Appiah (Headmaster, Ahuntumano D/A Primary School), Mad. Agartha Rachael Amoah (Headmistress, Agona Catholic School 'A'), Mr. Daniel Oppong (Headmaster, Agona Catholic School 'B'), Rev. Fr. Dodoo and Mr. Frank Awortwe Mensah (Fmr. Headmaster, Agona Catholic School 'A').
