The Ahomka Foundation supports PWDs

The Ahomka Foundation (TAF) in partnership with Medshare and with support from the Ministry of Health and Samira Empowerment & Humanitarian Projects (SEHP) is distributing 186 mobility carts (large, small and pull types) across the country to physically challenged persons worth over GHS 275,000.

This was disclosed by the Coordinator for The Ahomka Foundation Miss Enyonam Ametri, when they presented mobility carts in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region.

In her submission she opined that, the priority of the Foundation which is an NGO is focused on activities that seek to support and promote the general wellbeing of the Ghanaian citizenry through catering the health of the disabled, aged, women and children by giving support to improve their movement and livelihood.

She added that, though government is putting up much effort to meet the demands of the health of Ghanaians, individuals can also support in many ways to reduce the burden. The Ahomka Foundation would continue to support the health sector in diverse ways.
 



Mr. Francis Adu Boateng, the Sekyere South District Coordinating Director received the carts on behalf of the DCE, Hon Catherine Reckline and stated that the carts will be of several benefits to the beneficiaries and urged other organizations to emulate.
