The programme was aimed at bringing some of the Government officials to explain Government policies, programs and objectives to the people and answer questions and concerns raised from the public.

Some of the topics discussed included, planting of food and jobs programme, National Entrepreneurial and innovation plan (NEIP) Free SHS policy, and the infrastructure poverty Eradication and General overview and progress of Government policies  ( one million Dollars Development Fund,one District one Factory, among others.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive, William Bediako Asante said the Government would help improve the living standard of the people, and assured that there concerns would be addressed including the district road networks which would be tarred for the easy movement of goods and services.

Mr. William Bediako Asante said that more CHPS compound would be constructed, and the Manso Nkwanta health centre would be upgraded to a district hospital. Other interventions will include, upgrading MansoAdubia health centre to hospital status for the health needs of the people.
On security, he said, the district Assembly would open more police stations in some of the communities to help check rampant armed robbery cases in the district.

Mr Bediako appealed to chiefs to help form community watchdog committee in their various communities.

The Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta constituency,Mr Joseph Albert Quaim said he would do his best to help improve his constituency in the areas of good roads, health and planting Ginger and oranges to support the one district, one factory programmeby the government.

The District Director of Education for Amansie West, Mrs Doris Atigbire on the SHS policy, said it is great full that the SHS policy now takes off, and the payments of tuition fees, examination fees, ICT, provision of school uniforms, text books are for free.

She appealed to parents to encourage their wards to study hard to justify the huge sum of money government spent on education.

The Regional Information officer Mrs. Dina Ditas on her part commended the chiefs and people of Amansie West for their contributions to the programme and the number of concerns raised.

She said the Department would soon embark campaign to help sensitize the people on the effects of “galamsey” to help curb illegal mining activities.

More than 400 people attended the programme.
