BIA W: More communities hooked to electricity grid

The Bia West District Assembly like all other districts has also benefit from the rural electrification project that has resulted in new communities being hooked to the national electricity grid.

Some of the communities being hooked are Aboosikrom, Benkasa, New Wenchi, Abrewakrom, Nkrabea, Amoakrom among others.

In a related development, various communities have seen improvement in night visibility as a result of distribution of streetlights that have been installed in vantage areas in the communities.

Out of 400 streetlights received by the assembly according to the District Chief Executive, 368 have so far been distributed to 69 communities within the 6 electoral areas.
