MCE to Pay admission fees for ICA entrants

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mfantseman, Mr Kenneth Kelly Essuman has underscored the need for students who failed to obtain admission into various tertiary institutions to take-up refresher courses to help improve their knowledge before re-applying.

He said this will help them learn more about new developments that are directly related to the programmes they opted to pursue in their prospective tertiary institutions or better still help them get their preferred jobs in the future.

 

The MCE made this known when the officials from the Institute of Finance and Institute of Chartered Accounting jointly oriented interested candidates on courses such as finance, accounting and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

He said it was part of the assembly’s plan to sponsor the young people in the area to better their education to preferred levels.


Assembly to pay admission fees

Mr. Essuman revealed that the assembly has allocated part of its common fund pay admission fees of the entrants.He thus advised them to take their studies seriously in order to reciprocate the kind gesture of the assembly.

MCE encourages students

 

Meanwhile, the MCE has encouraged final year students in various Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the municipality who fail to obtain admission to take up such course to ensure they do not rust away in the society.

 

Among other institutions that graced the occasion were Education Directorate, Head of Students Loan Trust Fund and four Senior High Schools.
