For years, tensions simmered between former Assembly Member Hon. Eric Agyekum and some former committee members, and the current Assembly Member Mr. Kwabena Tabiri along with the present committee. The disagreement arose from allegations of misappropriation of community funds and a refusal to render accounts, which stalled ongoing projects and delayed new initiatives.

The matter was formally presented before the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, where a resolution was finally achieved under the guidance of Mr. Abubakar Sedik and his team of technocrats.

During the meeting, the DCE urged both factions to embrace unity and cautioned against the spread of rumors. He emphasized that his administration would ensure transparency and provide technical support to prevent future mismanagement of community resources.

Mr. Paul Atsu Agbezudor, the District Coordinating Director, reinforced this message, urging community leaders to consult the District Assembly when dealing with public funds or initiating fundraising activities. He stressed the importance of accountability in building trust and safeguarding development.

Mr. Edward Kwaku Duah, the District Finance Officer, delivered a brief lecture on public financial management, encouraging the adoption of sound financial practices to sustain community growth.

In a remark, former Assembly Member Hon. Eric Agyekum disclosed that the matter had already been brought to the attention of Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, the Bantamahene and overlord of Kunsu-Dotiem Stool Lands. In response, Hon. Abubakar Sedik pledged to personally appear before the Bantamahene, accompanied by Assembly officials, to brief him on the resolution and seek his final counsel.

The meeting concluded on a hopeful note, with both factions pledging to collaborate for the progress of Kunsu-Dotiem. Smiles and relief were evident on the faces of attendees as they agreed to jointly communicate the outcome to the Bantamahene.

Also in attendance were Mr. Paul Amegboe, chairman of F and A, Prophet Bernard Osei Boateng, NCCE District Director, Hon. Kwabena Tabiri, and both past and current committee members of Kunsu-Dotiem.
