Northern Regional Minister urges Saboba residents to protect peace for development

Northern Regional Minister, Mr Ali Adolf John, has urged chiefs and residents of Saboba and surrounding communities to promote peace and unity as key conditions for sustainable development.

He said lasting peace was essential for government investments in infrastructure, economic development and other social interventions to deliver meaningful benefits to communities.

Mr Adolf John made the call when the Paramount Chief of Saboba, Ubor Mateer John Bowan Sakojim IV, accompanied by his sub-chiefs and the District Chief Executive, paid a courtesy call on him at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council in Tamale.

The visit, held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, was to congratulate the Minister on his appointment by President John Dramani Mahama and discuss development concerns affecting the district.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between traditional authorities and government in promoting peace, reducing poverty and improving education.

The Paramount Chief also encouraged the Regional Minister to lead with patience and tolerance, describing the qualities as important for addressing the diverse needs of communities across the Northern Region.
