The initiative, set to begin next year, aims to decentralize development and enhance project monitoring at the grassroots level.

Municipal Chief Executive, Israel Adjetey, who revealed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, emphasized that strict monitoring will be implemented to ensure that the funds are used responsibly and for their intended purposes.

Meanwhile, all is set for the disbursement of the allowances for assembly members in the municipality.

This follows the government's release of the first tranche of GHs 25 million in July to support Assembly Members across the country.

The funds, meant to cover allowances for April and May, have since been distributed to all 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country with each Assembly Member is expected to receive GHs 2,600 to aid their work within their electoral areas.
