GRA provides training for Assembly staff on property rates.

In an effort to enhance revenue mobilization for the Assembly, the Government, in collaboration with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has recruited field officers to assist in the collection of Property Rate.

During the Training session, Mr. Gabriel Adjargo, the District Coordinating Director for Central Tongu District Assembly, extended a warm welcome to all participants and expressed his gratitude for their active involvement. He emphasized the significance of their selection and encouraged everyone to actively contribute to the success of the exercise.

Addressing the participants, the District Coordinating Director highlighted the collective purpose of the training, which is to support revenue mobilization efforts for the District. He emphasized the importance of taking the job seriously, as revenue generation has been a challenge for all 261 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

Furthermore, he emphasized that this opportunity can serve as a gateway to personal growth and development, urging everyone to approach it with dedication. By fulfilling their roles, they will be making a valuable contribution to the overall progress and development of the District.

The facilitator of the training session ensured that all participants had a hands-on experience with the system, creating an interactive atmosphere for learning and practical application.
