ASIKUMA: Nadmo donates to flood victims

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has presented items worth millions of Ghana Cedis to victims of last week’s tragic flooding which occurred at Breman Nwomaso and Breman Baako, all within the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

The items presented include, roofing sheets and nails, Mattresses, Mats, Buckets, Cup, Plates and Mosquito nets.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Georgina Nkrumah Aboah confirmed that about 170 houses within the above mentioned communities were swept off by the heavy down pour.

“The two communities experienced a terrible flooding as about 170 houses were wiped off by the rain”. She said. 

On that note the DCE hailed NADMO for their quick responds and used the opportunity to call on other development partners to emulate the gesture and support victims who have been driven away from their households.
 
Mrs Aboah however noted that her outfit will also do its best to aid the affected victims.
