The Evishad Primary School in the Ahamansu Electoral Area in Kadjebi District has benefited from the construction of a 6-unit classroom block estimated at $120,000.
The project which is being sponsored by World Vision Ghana (WVG) and World Vision Korea (WVK) is aimed at supporting the needs of deprived children in the country.
Speaking at a ceremony to commission the project for construction works to commence, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Nimo Forson disclosed that lack of classrooms had compelled the school authorities to combine classes.
He was certain that the project when completed would reduce congestion in the classrooms.
The Kadjebi District Chief Executive, Mr. Seth Alipui on his part indicated that three other school buildings are underway in the District to replace schools under trees.
He added that the Assembly is also sponsoring some youth to pursue teaching programmes at the teacher training level with the hope of serving the district when they graduate.
