 | | | Tourism site | |
The Kassena Nankana West District Assembly is seriously engaging the Chiefs and People of the area in talks to solicit their consent on a partnership agreement in the management of some major tourist sites in the district.
Some of these tourist sites have for a long time been under the care of the Chiefs and people of the area, but the Assembly has lately expressed interest to partner them to enhance these interesting places.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com on the issue, the District Chief Executive for the area, Thomas Dalu Addah disclosed that the Ministry of Local Government in conjunction with the Assembly is making efforts to construct a walkway at the two major crocodile ponds in the district.
He said the Assembly is also mapping up strategies to woo investors to the area to boost the tourism potential of the district.
He was therefore optimistic that the tourism sector could serve as an impetus to drive the area in development if it is properly managed and revitalized to make it more interesting.
