NATIONAL: Ghana drawn in "Group of Death"

| A tough test lies ahead of Milovan Rajevac | |
The Black Stars of Ghana appear to be in a quagmire and the technical handlers, headed by Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac would have to dig deep into their repertoire of experience to survive an uncompromising draw that includes west African neighbours, Cote D’voire, Togo and Burkina Faso in Group B.
At a short but impressive and imposing ceremony in Luanda, Angola, the sides were drawn together in a group which obviously would make the healines in most tabloids as “The Group of Death”.
Host Nation, Angola have to battle it out with Mali, Algeria and Malawi if they are to make it out of the group stage in the 27th edition of the continent’s most thrilling and exhilarating competition.
Defending Champions Egypt, Nigeria, Mozampique and Benin make up group C, while Cameroun, Gabon, Tunisia and Zambia complete group D.
Both Ghana and group number one seeds, Ivory Coast have qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and Rajevac should not be distracted by the strength of Ghana’s neighbours.
