The Central Gonja District is one of the eighteen districts of the Northern Region. It was carved out of the West Gonja District in 2004 as part of the government’s efforts to further decentralise governance.
The District has the rare opportunity of having a vast array of resources that can be tapped for the overall development of the district. The local opportunities have largely remained untapped mainly due to limited investment funding and the limited exposure of the district to potential and prospective
