Residents of Daboasi Junction and Dwomo communities in the Shama District in the Western Region have been provided with 10 and 16 seater Water Closet toilet facilities respectively to enhance sanitation in the areas. 

The Shama District Assembly is constructing a new Community Health Planning service (CHPs) compounds for residents of Essaman, a subsurb community in the district.

The Shama District Assembly in the Western Region has procured and distributed about 2000 pieces of dual desks to some selected basic schools in a bid to improve education in the area.

The Shama District Assembly has intensified efforts to ensure that various deprived communities are provided with electricity within the shortest possible time to improve socio-economic activities in the area. 

The Shama District Education Directorate has taken delivery of two brand new Nissan Double Carbin pick-ups from Government to assist their regular activities of ensuring quality education in the area.
