Golden Star Bogoso Prestea has awarded scholarships to 22 brilliant but needy students who have gained admission into second cycle institutions.

Though the Local Governance and Decentralization Program, USAID/Ghana has made it possible for the first street signs to be put up in the Prestea Huni Valley District of the Western Region.

Mr Michael Gbedemah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for the Prestea Huni/Valley, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to retain the current District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Robert Wisdom Cudjoe.

Residents of Bogoso, the District capital of Prestea Huni Valley in the Western Region have been provided with a nine seater Water Closet (WC) toilet facilities as part of efforts to improve sanitation in the area. 

A 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities has been completed for the Bogoso Presbyterian Primary School in the Prestea Huni Valley District to improve teaching and learning in the area.
