The North Dayi District Assembly in the Volta region has rehabilitated the Awate Todzi Health Centre to give a face-lift to the old structure.

This project was among a lot of infrastructural developments which the assembly has initiated to improve and expand the health sector in the district.

Disclosing this in an interview, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Mr. Stephen Komla Timinca said the project was initiated as a result of an urgent need to expand the facility to improve health delivery in the area.

He added that the old building could no longer address the health needs of the growing population in the community and thus the need to ensure its expansion.

The newly rehabilitated center, he added will ensure that access to quality healthcare is met.

The DCE further noted that the facility now has multiple consulting rooms, laboratory, wards, injection room, offices and an Outpatient department (OPD).

A nurses quarters facility has also been constructed to adequately improve nurses accommodation conditions in the area.
