The exercise began on June 17, 2019 at the municipal electoral office premises located within the municipal assembly block. Electoral officials are grouped into three groups including the desk for Juaben municipal; meant to take care of prospective (potential voters) from Juaben Township.

The exercise recorded high turnout and so the premises was heavily congested before 7am. However, registration started at exactly 7am with filling of the registration forms but Voters Management System (VMS) failed to work compelling officials to continue with the exercise at 10:30am on the VVR (offline voter registration) after consulting with their regional directorate of the EC in Kumasi.

The mobile registration at Achiase also adopted the VVR for the registration and 93 people were registered. At the municipal headquarters, 105 prospective voters were registered, making a total of 198 voters registered.

The Municipal Electoral Commission Officer, Mr. Samuel Ofori explained further that those who by the law demanded to have guarantors in order to register, (that is people above 19 years and have never registered) were many and so some could not be registered as they could not get their guarantors immediately.

He however stressed that on the whole, it was a successful exercise and those required to provide guarantors were duly doing so.
Officials from the various political parties such as assembly men, polling station agents were present to over-see proceedings.
