NGOs support Wassa East Assembly to fight COVID- 19

A non-governmental organisation called Access Water which has been providing distilled water in Wassa East District of the Western Region has contributed 103 Veronica bucket sets to support the fight of the COVID- 19 in the various communities.

Receiving the items, the District Chief Executive, Wilson Arthur said these items will augment the 100 sets supplied and distributed by the District, 100 sets from the Member of Parliament, Isaac Adjei Mensah and 140 procured by the DCE from his personal account all towards promoting best handwashing practices in the District.

Again Golden Star Resources also distributed 60 Veronica bucket sets in mining catchment communities, while WUSC NGO supported with 10 boxes of liquid soap and liquid hand sanitizers.

Plantation Socfinaf has also supported the District with 4 infrared Gun Thermometers.

Mr Wilson thanked all and sundry for coming to their aid with various donations to support the fight against the spread of the COVID- 19.
